I only learned about the DDR grade when I decided to do a little more research on the watch, as I read about DDRs I started to have hope that perhaps mine was that grade but I had no idea, so my heart took a big bump when I opened up the back and there it was, inlaid with 18k gold, DDR!

Omega: some photos of a DDR

This is actually my grandfather's watch, given to him for Christmas 1911. Serial number 2,584,723 made in 1905. I always thought it was an incredibly beautiful watch even as a young boy but the more I read about it the more I realize how special it is.
