Helbros were a US company and Brooks were one of their brand names. Here is a picture of Damien Parer the war photographer's watch in the Australian NSW libraries collection and a picture of him wearing it on Guam. Thanks. Carl.
Hello, These watches are made by Helvetia for Helbros, the movement is the Helvetia 82A. I have a white dialled version. Have a look at my site for details about Helvetia pilots watches, the Helbros ones are about half way down the pilots watch page. Thanks. Carl
Just for interest, here is an advert for Helvetia's big date watch with the same Helvetia in-house movement. I think this dates from 1932 going by the patents. Also a picture of another example I found on the web. Note that the one in the advert also has an odd seconds dial a bit like yours nitedive
