Saw this in a "fine jewelry" store that sells new watches and used/traded-in watches. Not a Rolex AD...

. . . because of the premiums they are getting. The movements on these watches and the build quality, while good, are not nearly at the level of other watches in the price range these are going for. For example, why would I pay double retail for an AP Roy

An observation regarding Patek 31-260 PS QL

There are varying degrees of hand finishing and I don't think Patek can be considered entirely machine-finished just due to the lack of interior angles. You do get some other nice finishings like the black-polished screws, perlage, cotes de geneve, etc. I
