Independent Master Watchmakers in between Book Covers

The internet is a wonderful information source when looking for details on subjects not covered by main stream publishing. About two years ago I spent some time to gather information on independent master watchmakers from websites, particularly reports ab

AHCI - passive members?

Hi All, I was just looking at the AHCI website and noticed a section called "Passive Members" that includes Soren Andersen, John McGonigle, Thomas Prescher, and Volker Vyskocil. Does these mean these firms are no longer trading? If that were the case, I'd

Here are the names of watches they own - we could not agree on whether AHCI or not was important; if once independent now brand was important or not. Svend Andersen Soren Andersen Hajime Asaoka Felix Baumgartner Aaron Becsei Robert Bray Vincent Calabrese

2015, A year to celebrate... and win!

If Damjan has his eyes on that book our only hope is to try to guess the answer before the question is asked. Here's a few good-natured guesses. It’s thirty years since… John McGonigle was first translated into English; Philippe Dufour gave up smoking (ag

Rare?......is it really....

1. A watch that Nicolas hasn't owned or lusted after. 2. A JLC of which Blomman doesn't have the white, black and blue dial versions in Pt, RG, WG and SS with papers, original boxes and period display stands. 3. An AP ROO. Any AP ROO. Every AP ROO. 4. Any
