New rubber strap for my Planet Ocean.

Omega does not offer a rubber strap for the white dial/orange bezel model. Therefore I ordered one of their rubber straps from another model which fits quite nicely. The tone of the orange is not exactly the same as the bezel, still this is a combo that I

My first Carl Bucherer

This is the Patravi ScubaTec, currently the most popular model in their line-up. 44.6mm steel, water resistant to 500 meters. A worthy alternative to the Rolex Sub and Omega Planet Ocean - if you’re fine with the movement, which is a COSC certified ETA 28

Why do I own this?

So, I am no fan of Omega’s endless limited edition penchant, I don’t dive, and I typically don’t like watches over 42MM.....so this is a bit of an odd watch for me to own. Yet I was struck by the beauty of the dial and strap (it came with steel bracelet a

what are people’s opinions about...

Both has plus and minus for me. PO definitely more legible in terms of hands. The bezel is easier to grip. But the bezel design is generic. The seamaster has more distinctive characters, like scalloped bezel (although can be slippery to grip), skeleton ha

The planet ocean vs the seamaster 300? I have owned both multiple times and am much more drawn to the planet ocean line. I do think price wise the seamaster 300 offers more bang for buck though.

Would any of these rubber straps work on my Planet Ocean?

I have the white dial orange bezel PO on the steel bracelet. Great watch but also very heavy with this combination. Omega does not propose a specific rubber strap for that version (they have a Nato which I do not like) so I was looking for some alternativ

What is everyone wearing on hump day?

Chose the Apollo 8 day due to the release of the Alinghi yesterday. While I love the black and red colorway of the Alinghi, I see no connection to a Speedmaster, especially a DSOTM model. I think it would have been more appropriate with a Planet Ocean Chr

Divers ! Who else likes them ?

I do like divers ! They are fun, robust and perfectly suited for a more active and casual life style (as I have since my retirement...). Although not a real diver myself (just pool diving ...) I enjoy these watches for all of my outdoor activities and when

Omega Ploprof Seamaster 600 - The Instrument Watch of Professional Divers

You say it right. When Doxa put quartz calibers in it’s cases to fight against quartz opponents. It hurts Omega. The ploprof has become a cult classic, while the quartz equipped dive watches are not wanted. The space race and the depth race. I think the d
