Modern "Vintage" Breguet Refs

So been checking out older references of Breguet watches as I'm a fanboi and though I'd post up some beauties to keep it all together. In my mind there are five distinct eras for Breguet: 1) 1775-1875 Breguet Era 2) 1870-1970 Brown Era 3) 1970-1987 Chaume

Two Breguet wristwatches from the era of Chaumet, Bodet and Roth

On the 23rd September last year I attended an evening preview at Sotheby’s in London, firstly to congratulate an old friend on his new book being presented at the same event, and to handle two 1980s Breguet wrist watches that a friend had shown interest i

Scored myself a 3137 today.

Surprised myself with a successful low-ball bid this morning. Sadly, I'm going to have to part with my 5907 now, but the Roth-designed 3137, with its complex guilloché and insane decorated movement, was too beguiling to resist. 😳

I regard Breguet the most under rated haute horological brand...

Is one of the most beautiful watches in existence in my opinion. This is the watch designed by Daniel Roth, and was instrumental to bringing Breguet back to life.

Frosted dial

Dear purists, I took a very close look at my 3130 dial using a couple of lens, and noted that the guilloche on the various parts has a frost/hammer effect I never noted. It is present on all the different patterns. Is this a known characteristic of this d

A wristshot of the Breguet 3130

A classic and a watch which looks larger than it is actually (36mm). What an elegant piece. Fx

Quick look review: Breguet Classique 5277

but it was nice while I had it (I actually prefer the more classic finishing on the movement of the 3130 like yours, but this was the one the fates handed to me): Do you like Daniel Roth's work after Breguet (either with his eponymous brand or the Jean Da

Quick look review: Breguet Classique 5277

Some time ago i had the opportunity to watch the entire Breguet collection in the company boutique in Wien ad the experience was, in a some way, very frustrating (with my 3130 on the wrist :-) ) There are of course some really interesting pieces in the ve
