After a long wait it's great to have the Zodiaque back home and on the wrist. If there is one bright side to long time spent in service it's that's I get to rediscover how much I enjoy this watch. Center hands of blue steel, a wonderful designed outer dial with months, zodiaque names and signs. I've put a blue strap on this which brings out the color of the hands and also makes it more casual.

Hard to capture the true color contrast of the hands and strap in this photo but hope you can get a sense. What's nice about the entire Octa range is that all are so comfortable to wear. Perfect size and perfect weight.

Brad, I sincerely hope that the watch doesn't have to go back again. Give us a status report at some point.

Definitely will. Meanwhile, just curious when your Zodiaque is fully wound where the power reserve indicator points to. Is past the 120 marker, on it or just before it.

... in their possession for the (pick a number) time, they would check that out, right? Actually, my indicator falls just before the 120. I don't care if that's right or wrong, I'm not sending it in!

That 's always what I do...Each time Ihave a blue hand watch, I choose a Navy Blue Croc strap!

I'm happy that you got it back. The blue strap fits the watch really well, especially the blued-hands. Did the factory do a complete overhaul on the watch and were you made to pay for the work?

Unfortunately this piece had been back multiple times not only for alignment reasons but also at one point the power supply indicator wasn't working properly. I'm not sure if a complete overhaul was done this particular time. What was told to me was FPJ finally figured out how to solve the 'mysterious' alignment problem. There was no charge for the service. Of course at this point I won't really know if it's actually fixed until September which is the next month with 30 days. A collector friend asked yesterday why I would wait that long and not manually advance it to see. My view is I want to enjoy it as long as I can. I'm sure it's fine now and hope I won't have to part with again for a very long time. In the meantime I'm happy to take it day by day, watching the indicator advance and the strap darken.

from your pictures, the power reserve hand is "sitting" at the right position at the 120-hour mark. I have a few FPJs, including the Zodiaque and the Resonance, when the power reserve is at the maximum the indicator hand always stops in the middle of the number, be it 120 or 40 (depending on the watch model). I have been following your postings and hope that you'd not have to send it in again, except for routine maintenance! Enjoy!

Hey Brad,

Congrats ont eh return of your lovely lady!  The more I see pics of the center hands Journe watches (excluding the CS), the more I like them.  I'm a big fan of the Octa Divine and the Zodiac.  Your watch looks great and the shirt isnt bad either. 

I hope this time the repair worked!  I understand the feeling, but must say, that will all watch brands and independant makers - Journe service is the best.  They are top notch, respond to request quickly and really do turn repairs around in a timley manner.
