Sometimes the simplest things are the best.
Bells and whistles can be interesting but I see a very valid reason in what you say that for every day the simplest it very well done is perhaps the most versatile and valid.

…it’s like you and the CTS I thought I had a plan, a 5-10 year plan, to add one of these (38mm of course) and eventually a CO.
Not to be. But perhaps I can join you with a sibling one day.
