Seiko

Few minutes ago an old friend came to my house to show me three vintage Seiko's.

I'm not an expert in this brand but I like them.

I need an advice, what do you think or known about this three pieces?









Any comment, suggestion or advice is very welcome!

Price, rare, specifications?

But i would gladly add them to my collection. 

I had to take them all.

I believe it is the model that vies with the El Primero and the Cal. 11 (Heuer, Beuren...) for the title of the first automatic chrono (1969). Someone is likely to add more detail shortly

The first Seiko is a well sought after vintage piece. I love that model.

If you want a new Seiko i suggest you buy a "Japanese Domectic Model" Seiko. Stunning quality for the money.

Why don't you just try one and see for yourself. Seiko (the JDM's) are highly underrated.

I bought them all, now I'm going to see if I keep them or we'll see!!

..the first watch is a "Pogue"; Seiko's (or Seiko fans rather) claim to a spacewatch like a Speedie. Lots of fakes and bitsas. Be careful.
Second is also fraught with difficulties. It is missing the plastic cursor for the slide rule function. Reproductions are available.
Third is a Seiko 5. I have never had one as I don't like the 5 logo.
In my opinion, it all depends what you are after. All are fun watches. The bezel on the 5 is cool.
Just make sure all functions operate. They can cost more to fix than to buy...
All that said... If you like them, who cares?

I took the watch apart and cleaned it up for my friend, then later broke the stem. Wah!

Got it at an auction in 2001 for $40. Never used. Blue plastic on the back. Nice watch.
