You’re absolutely right in that the ‘90 La Mission was sublime. We dropped the wine off at the restaurant and had them decant both bottles 90 minutes before arrival and La Mission was rustic, but that rustic Haut Brion amd Margaux type that is so well structured it hits all the notes. The ‘96 Angelus interestingly took quite a bit longer to open up so I took half the bottle home for later when it shows well. A very fine wine, but the 1999 La Mission. In fact I’d put the ‘90 La Mission ahead of the ‘90 Angelus, which I’ve had recently. Now the 2000 Angelus in a few years may exceed them all. Just me thoughts anyway. Best,
