What about a Rolex GMT Master 6542 Brown dial feast?

 By: amanico : May 1st, 2015-01:42

Ok, this is not fair that I keep that kind of torture just for myself... I would like to share with you the reasons why some references are such a delicious pain.

I have a superb ( at least according to my own tastes and criterias ) 6542.

Though, I cannot resist to fall in love with other beauties.

Here is a small selection of what I found on the net.

Not all are in great shape, as you will see, but you will notice that a few of them are close to mine in terms of patina.

You will also see some superb caramel dials.

So, chocolate, chutnney, or caramel. What kind of guy are you?

Disclaimer; The pics found on the net have to be credited to: Premium Watches, Eric Ku, Roberto, Antiquorum, Jacek, Motts, and Christies. I may have forgotten a few, sorry for that.

The 6542 in all shades of brown, or not even brown but a nice black glossy dial are a marvel. To answer your post I love the first watch after yours.
That would be my pick. This is a watch with huge Patina. Do you know the source?
Btw the watch I bought from Christies is among the pictures you have posted. The watch looks different in real though.

Best Edmond

I know yours is among this selection. I have to see it in the real.

I am very intrigued by yours.

Which I find very nice, by the way.

If you may be so kind

What is the watch you post on the cover of your post? It is  a dream! I would love to know the source. Thank you Edmond

It has been sold by an italian dealer. An old picture from my pictures collection. [nt]

I won't forget. I will make an effort.

Given your love for the GMT and your knowledge and passion. It is well worth showing you the watch even if it means bringing it to Paris
(which I am not really keen on doing). But lets see. I am in Paris in September for sure. E

So we have a deal! It is worth a serious photo session. [nt]
