Rolex

I'm not even a true vintage Rolex guy, but I've been smitten by the GMT.  In New York, Subs dangle from subway straps like sausages in a deli window all day long, heading to and from Wall Street.  But not the GMT!  A splash of color, and a modest complication...all make for a very wearable, if not intriguing set-up.  Do I need them both?  Of course not.  But they span (within meager budget) a genre that has taken on distinctive looks over its life cycle.  For me, the early 1675 and the first 16760 comprise a modest, but earnest GMT collection.  Best, Ken in NYC

Pointed crown guards / Square crown guards, chapter ring or not, small,  painted or circled indexes 24 hours triangle hand / big, thin or thick case, quick set of the date or not, sapphire or plexy,  an early 1675 and a so called Fat Lady are two superb expressions of the GMT.

Without forgetting that your 1675 has this discrete feature at 6 o 'clock, an exclamation point, which reminds us that, like the Devil, Rolex is also in the details.

How cannot I congratulate you for that???

Will you now push the theme and consider a NO  crownguard version, a 6542?

Glad to see you are happy with your fantastic collection - who wouldn't be with that pretty 1675!
