Rolex

I thought I would try to dress the Rolex 1655 a couple of different ways.  I started first with a little research and I found that very people actually pretty close to none had examples I could follow.  So I decided to give it a shot myself and try a few strap changes.

I am a big fan of leather straps on Submariners as well as the obvious nato choices.  I fee that both nato and leather straps give the solid dark but simple face a frame of sort.  They do not distract from the watch but rather make it pop.

So here we go with a few examples.  I won't state my opinion up front so as not to bias anyone or plant ideas.  Have a quick look and see what you think.  If you have some examples please feel free to add them.

Seeing your 1655 fitted to the bund made me change my mind.

It gives the watch a look "a la" Indiana Jones, which in part goes perfect with the adventurous nature of the Explorer.

Looking forward in learning which one is your favorite.

The best choice, in my opinion, for the Freccione.

Then, the Nato...

Not convinced by the other straps on THIS watch.

While the leather strap works better, IMO, on the Explo I, or the Sub.

I feel the same way about the Oyster bracelet.  There is too much going on with the dial that a strap other than the Oyster takes away from the beauty.

I tried many combinations and nothing really worked for me.

The watch has strong white hands and an Orange arrow that wants to jump out.

And  as I said I did not find any good examples on the net.

I guess this is one that need to stick to the basics.

The thing is that the dial of the Freccione is a bit complex, so you can only play with a one color strap, I think...

A creamy Nato is cool, it matches with the indexes, a black one works too, and if you're in a Halloween Mood, go for the orange:

I am usually not a great bracelet fan but for this watch, as for the sea dweller I would say, I agree with the others, I think the bracelet is the natural and probably the best choice!

the only really cool one I remember is this one, I don't remember who to credit for so I apologize...Matt
