i was in a rolex AD today and we were talking about the up coming basel fair and he mentioned he has high hopes for something special on the daytona front as its the 50th anniversary this year. i didn't know this and wonder if that info is true what would be at the top of your wishlist for a 50th anniversary daytona. for me it would have to be a steel version with a ceramic bezel perhaps and PN dial? or what about one with a green crystal like the milguass.

So it will finally happen, the question being when, and what we'll see.

Touching a myth is a ll but easy.

The Dayto has reached a balance, in its size, volumes and aesthetics, which will be very risky to touch to...

But this year, in my crystal ball, I see a new Explo II.

As a true lover of the Explorer II, I'm a bit afraid to see what we all furtively saw last year coming true.

Let's wait and see... 5 weeks, and we'll know.

and that the daytona is the most obvious watch left to update. i to have fears that they might butcher the redesign and make it too large or try and add a date function to it. LIke you say we'll just have to wait but i was just surprised that the 50th birthday at least to me has flown under my radar with regard to the daytona.
