if i had to give up everything for her i would. i was in a sorry old state when
i met her, divorced, living in a big house on my own, drinking heavily to blot
out injury pain and riding police motorcycles during the day which was not good.
sleeping with anyone that showed slightest interest. the likelihood is that i
would have been dead a long time ago if i hadnt met her, but now i'd retired,
medicated, hardly drink at all, got my brain more or less together after a lot
of counselling so i owe her a huge amount. the best thing that ever happened to
me, but i wont get all maudling.

i was very lucky after being offloaded by the first wife to find a young

lovely watch Ted. 64 was a very good vintage year :)
i already have a 64 oyster perp, but if you ever want to offload it you know where to come
and Nico, i'm not jumping on 'everything' from 64, only watches that i believe have a place in horological history. there are a lot of ordinary watches that i ignore and leave for others born in 64 i'm dropping the IWC as its not an Ingenieur, just an 8541 calibre auto. it is the first year that movement was used, but thats not really enough.
what is it about Rolex. only 6 weeks ago i had no intention to buy one and now i'm looking at others.

... this other '64 is yet to find his Rolex too.
But I have a surprise coming ... just between you and me as no one else will find this note. A certain Rolex from the year my wife was born.
