Is there love for Ingenieurs? It seems to be lost... Ingenieurs roll call.....

My Ingenieurs

I don't own one but that's not because I don't like them! Very nice timepieces! You've got the bug bad considering you have two of them! [nt]

I own both the 3227 and 3228. Haven’t been wearing them for the past 5 years (at least)..

 By: janef : March 28th, 2020-20:38
This is the problem with collecting watches. You keep adding watches till a point you no longer have time to wear them all n the saddest part is when you start to forget them in your safe.

I am slowing down my purchase since last year to reconsider my hobby n put in some guidelines. Thanking for jottings up some good old memories of the legendary 3227 (it was really the hype back then, everyone where taking about it, the 3228 was much less due to rarity)..

Btw if you like this model, the ultimate hunt is to search for a Japanese limited version 3227/11 with the salmon dial!

Thanks. Great to have common collections. This should be rarer. IWC 3227-12

You are absolutely right! I haven’t even seen this version yet haha.. care to enlighten me? Thank you! [nt]

Why did IWC removed the integrated lugs? I much prefer the 3227 muscular look.. love to hear your thoughts too! [nt]

 By: biw : January 20th, 2021-04:55
My new to me IWC 3228 with in-house caliber 80111. And it's thinner cousin IWC 3239.

Thanks for renewing interest in the Ingenieur.

Looking forward to finding MY IIngenieur...

Yes, you can, it is just a matter of patience, with a bit of luck, too.

Agree. That’s the fun of hunting for a watch and wait patiently behind the bush...right price, right condition
