I thought Asi got that bling bling bracelet for his?
but I forgive you......
That guy in the video is the only guy still wearing his 140 on the original OEM strap and deployant,,,, that watch is so TANG!
Guys, the California... no matter how much I like it... (nice grunt, soft handling, practical), I am always reminded that it is a fake Ferrari and an improper Ferrari. I admit to it then... cos i drive it to work 5x a week and that it is comfy, with ipod, that's why it is not a Ferrari. Sure a Ferrari should be more hardcore like the 430 or Scuderia and better yet, the one that I am in line for 458 don't even know till when... I actually like both and I would need one cali and one 458 but if I can only take one, believe it or not, I would take my Cali.
If this California is a fake for the purists, then I will take the fake one...
Jest, it's not your kind of car and it is in a rather trendy colour... When I was contemplating this purchase, the only contenders were SLS and AUDI R8 V10 which the latter was a lot less costly with spare to buy a 203... maybe... I didn't think I make a mistake.
And the idea of being able to take my little one AND my wife is appealing...
The car has much to offer and the interior is eons beyond 430 and the mere fact that it offers so much comfort turns many Ferrari purist away for it being too fancy. However, the same thing can be said of the 458. The interior is techno and filled with gadgets for a Ferrari. Well, you have to buy one, drive one (not just for a loaner weekend) and own one for a period of time. It really really and will truly truly grow on you. You get off work, you can pop the top and occasionally give it a squirt. The first front engine V8 doesn't disappoint... I think they purposely make it sound much better than the GranTursimo which for me is really good... but this is not GOOD but great engine grunt. You turn the key, press the button, listen to the idling engine and running one, no doubt, this is 100% a Ferrari. It is a DFI detuned 430 engine on a rather heavy car but the dual clutch is a killer to own. It is smooth as hell when in comfort and gets very very aggressive with lightning fast shift under sport mode. Try the launch control and you can lose your license right away... the car (I am not a road racer or tracker) doesn't have to worry about being teased by anyone including any R8 V10 or similar vehicles... you will find that it is noseheavy but it does have road feel and the R8 V10 could not shake it off. Well, overall, I give it a 8-9/10 and the 458 is maybe a 9.5-10... it is something you can live with... and own as the only driver. Resale yet to be seen but most are asking above list still... anyway... enough car chat this is a watch forum. Anyway, time to get a Ferrari California from Panerai
