Officine Panerai

Hi, all

 

My AD offered me a chance to buy PAM 292 after waiting for almost a year.  However, this is K serie without the torpedo.  I checked from Paneristi, 1500 pieces are produced after the first 1000 pieces J serie with Torpedo.  Do you think it is still worth to collect this rare bird? 

it's a very nice watch, and the torpedo doesn't make it less or more beautifull.

My opinion is that there are a lot of other Panerais worth collecting compared to the PAM 292 K series. It is a unique piece, as it is the first Radiomir with a ceramic case (if I'm not mistaken), but I would base my collection on what I enjoy and like in watches first, and then consider whether it's worth collecting after. To me Panerai emobodies more than just collectibility.

I go with my heart and picked up yesterday from the AD.  I like the watch very much and it goes well as a pair together with my PAM4.  Thank you1

it's also the first 'non torpedo' piece I have heard of so my wait is getting nearer..!!  Fingers crossed they start to produce them a bit faster now they are not producing a special face as I believe this is the same face as on the 210.  Obviously there are also issues producing the ceramic case but thats another story..!!
