I cannot post a pic because I do not own one, but the true spirit and allure of Panerai IMO is the base configuration. I admit that I would rather get the Luminor case over the Radiomir but given the two possibilities - 210.
Asi
I do not have one of these 2 Radiomir models (but a PAM 190).
IMO, for the mentionned budget for a first Panerai, as Asi said, I personally would have chosen a Luminor model and preferably the left handed one PAM 219.
I know that is out of your question.
The best choice will be on your wrist.

Patrickh
you like (love) PAM 190 and I completely share your choice. In that way, keep in mind this watch for the 2d PAM. A Radiomir elegant, dressy with Sub-dial second and 8 days RDM JLC movement.
Another Radiomir base will remember you, it is not the PAM 190 of your wish.
So, for the first Panerai, I would choose a Luminor base without sub dial second, the cleanest one and a specific Panerai one : Left handed.
Just for thoughts,
Best regards,
patrickh
I am very happy to read that You and Your Wife have the same advice on Your first Panerai.
In every case, You will enjoy for a long time.
My very best for both of You.
Cheers,
patrickh
For me, my decision on either the 183 or 210 will also be based on what I want to get for my 2nd PAM.
If ur 1st PAM is a Radiomir, will ur 2nd PAM be a Luminor?
If yes, then u need to think about will this Luminor be a base? marina? chronograph? etc.?
If it will be a base, then u should get the 183 since it has a seconds hand. I wouldn't want to get 2 PAM's and both being bases with no secs hand. Mix it up and get one with secs and one without.
You can't go wrong with either 210 or 183, but I would base my decision on what u want to get for ur 2nd Panerai.
If you want to get a base someday, u need to ask urself, do I prefer a Luminor base or a Radiomir base?
Cheers,
Anthony
The 183 is BS..LOL
BS as Black Seal, of course! LMAO
No, the essence of the Rad is the 210, if you have to choose between these 2...
Best, my friend.
Nicolas
I like the sub seconds. `G` series because I found that the wording `Blackseal` at 6 o`clock looks more `appropriate`...imho, I had one before but traded for the 217,,,
Cheers,

Hello Jerome,
I would go with the 210 as it looks like the very first panerai that went in production and also looks like the 232.
On the other hand, as both watches are mannual the 183 is more practical as an everyday wearer as you can see when the watch stops because there is a small seconds subdial.

dP
Hi Jerome,
Glad to see you here.
I will give you these pictures to start. I will look for the 210 pix next.

Jerome,
I was in the same position as you are right now. At first I thought I wanted the PAM 50, but when I first tried on a Radiomir, I completely fell in love with it. With that being said, and only by looking at pictures I thought the 183 was my choice, until I got a chance to see both the 183 and 210 in the flesh and try them on. The 210 just blew me away with its simplicity and perfectly neat dial. In my opinion the 183 has too many things going on in the dial and thus make it look unbalanced.
In the end I'll take the plunge with the 210.....(aka: poor man's 232) (at least in my case)
Congrats,
Alex

Hi Jerome,
They are two very cool and very special watches. Both will fulfill your need.
Elegance and simplicity.
