no perpetual calendar, no seconds counter, no coffee brewing buttons to be pushed, no chimes etc. If there's Nemo inside, you'll have to open and look, because in this model there is no "looking glass". An original Officine Panerai Pre-V (Ormil) strap, with a sewn in Panerai buckle, to strap it on the wrist with smile The PAM002 Pre-A was manufactured by "them Swiss" BUT (and it's a huge but, for me at least) with all ORIGINAL Italian "stock" components. Pre-V case and Pre-V dial, Pre-V indices etc. Easy to understand why the 002 it's one of my favourite PAMs.

And these unmistakable dials... A beauty.

Plain and simple, a true utility/tool instrument. No gimmicks. It was designed and to be used this way

My favorite!

The Pre-A dial is so clean, so reduced to those iconic early fat numbers. This really may be my favorite sapphire PAM!

My 002A salutes your beauty!

Gorgeous. I'm always amazed at how different the Pre-A and Pre-V's are on the wrist from the outwardly similar modern versions. Maybe it's all psychological but I don't think so.

I agree with you entirely....

Can I ask a wee question? Is Ormil one of the types of leather that Cuoierie Mecchaniche Brelli used for the Pre-Vs? Any info will be appreciated.

No Ormil is a strap manufacturer....

 By: sergio : January 11th, 2021-18:23
....much like Brelli, which was also a supplier of straps to the Officine Panerai, in the Pre-V period. Both, Brelli and Ormil are still very much active these days, in the manufacturing of watch straps.
