My Panograph was returned from servicing with a number of replaced parts, including the hands, crown, gasket and screws. Some of those parts will inevitably wear, so I imagine even the best maintained watch will eventually need to find its way home to Glashutte.
For this reason, I never expected to see pictures of a Panograph movement being serviced, unless the pictures were being staged for promotion by Glashutte. I'm sure others here are equally appreciative.
The availability of servicing at reasonable cost will play a part in the length of time the watch remains a part of my collection. I can understand why Glashutte wants to keep servicing in-house, but what are the long term implications for those who hold on to their watches for decades.
