? It's gotta be the most striking custom 1911 that I've ever seen
.
. Just looking at that photo is enough to draw such conclusion, firing it must be an exhilarating experience after which all other 1911s seem lame in comparison LOL
.

. And after spending the better part of the past hour looking through the photos of various models on their website I'm afraid that what has been seen cannot be unseen LOL. You have now convinced me Ming to make an immediate decision to forget about the Springfield 1911 and FN 5.7, rather save up (more than likely exceeding the cost of those two combined?) and get myself an Infinity 1911
. Now on to spending a few days with their gunbuilder and sifting through an endless array of options to select from. From their pre-arranged selection I was mesmerized by these, and will likely build something along those lines
.......

Nothing wrong with a nicely setup Springfield or Les Baer.
. Of course there's nothing wrong with Springfield or Baer 1911s, but when the difference in finish level is so obvious even from a photograph one must concur that the best is the best and that's it
. Just look at all the hammer variants
.......

), but they look extraordinary. Great pic again
. Honestly, I don't know why I held out from visiting the Infinity website up to this point in the first place. I guess that subconsciously I knew it would change my mind and make me wish to purchase the even more expensive variants
.
Next time we meet up I'll explain all the parts to you. FYI, I'll posting about the 1911 on the PPro TimeOut forum so watch for it.
. Very cool stuff. I watched several videos of the manufacturing process at Ed Brown and their various models (beavertail, thumb safety, contours look phenomenal!). I also looked of course at all of the offering on the official web pages and have to say that I can't shake the impression that SVI offers the most hi-tech stuff. As I mentioned to Ming I guess I held back from learning what it is that really sets apart these most expensive 1911s from the rest, but now that I've looked into it thoroughly I fully understand and realize why they cost so much. Their component manufacturing process is similar to that of Aston Martin in the automotive world
. It's just bloody gorgeous LOL, I wouldn't mind having that gun in pieces hanging on the wall as art
. Anyway, here's the piece I liked most on the STI website for a change
.......

... but who ? Any candidates
