Hello folks!
Hope you guys are having a great midweek.Been awhile since i posted here, and in continuation of the mugs and cups series that contains platinum, i present some latest news from the Platinum world!
This time, a series of Platinum Rimmed Glasses from Christofle! These are wine glasses, and a water glass as well that have their rims dipped in Platinum.
They are available as red wine, white wine, water glasses and champagne flute as well!
While information isn't much regarding it at the present moment, i'll try to get some more as i intend to purchase at least the red wine glass since i'm a red wine lover!
The good thing is that there is a Christofle store here in Tokyo, so i'll see what i can find asap!
In the meantime, some press pictures of this exclusive series, hopefully the Platinum Boy can be found drinking his Amarone from one of these real soon....

Cheers and have a Platinum day ahead!

Can you get them in Singapore?
Look really good.
They are available at a few opticians but I got mine at Just Eyes in Suntec City, on the second level facing Carrefour hypermart. Best to call though, I recall they are closed on one week day but I can't remember which. The frames are expensive ($700-800 including the lense) but they last a long time. Mine are four or five years old already and still look perfect, the only parts that wear out are the rubber nose pads and tubes around the side of th frame. The lense probably needs replacement soon, the edges chip and crack, but the frame itself is going strong.

I really need a tough and light pair of frames for all my activities.
Will pay them a visit later.
I'm a spectacles wearer, so i'm going to check out these pairs, as they are sold in Tokyo too!
Cheers for the info!

Stephen you should also check out on the Platinum brand of pens- they're Japanese made
and you could be lucky to commission them to make a pure platinum pen for you.
They have a series of pens in precious metals, sterling silver, gold, or platinum, including an interesting one in hand-hammered sterling silver. They are rarely seen outside of Japan though, so BluNotte you are located in the best possible place.

And the only platinum fountain pen released by them now is platinum mixed with gold for the nibs and such.
It isn't very expensive, but i will see more into them!

Let's see what they can do!

I prefer these Riedel Vitis Cabernet glasses. Got a set of four maybe 4 months ago and haven't broken one yet! **knocks on wood**
Beautifully shaped glasses IMO and one piece too. Only problem about these glasses is that it's difficult to clean the very bottom of the inside of the glass if you don't have some type of cleaning brush. Can't really scrub the bottom using your hands and sponge.
Cheers,
Anthony

I use Riedel sommelier for my Amarone right now too, but well i just thought that i'll get them just for the Platinum!
Cheers!

I like the pulled stems on your Vitis glasses, Anthony. I just have the plain old, boring Riedel Vinums, but they do the job!

Hope you enjoy your whiskey in them!
