According to the law set by CONgress.... prices are to be stable. The other is employment. Does the below prices look stable to you?

I could solve the currency issue in one sentence:
Ahemā¦the age of retirement in the United States is 75. When social security was conceived in 1935 life expectancy in the United States was 61.7 only one out of 13 Americans ever received benefits. That is why the dollar has been devaluedā¦END OF STORY.
National debt : GDP is the essential . . .
. . . reason. Prior to the Great Depression, the ratio was ~ 1 : 10. Prices were either stable or tended to decline.
From the '30s thru the '70s, the ratio was ~ 1 : 4. Prices grew but at a slow pace.
Since the '80s, the ratio has continuously dropped to where it is now, 6 : 5.
Bottom line: it's the balance sheet. We owe.

Yes exactly
they are inter related. But the critical issue is that we propped up social security with funding that came from other places ie. more than what came from taxpayers. It was never designed to allow people to āretireā for thirty years. Most people died in their jobs.

. . . have been drawn upon for general purpose spending. The reckoning is coming.
