My beloved ferret passed away.

 By: amanico : September 1st, 2021-10:24
Well, it has been two months as she passed away on the 11th of July, it takes time to digest that, and I didn't, yet, by the way.

All those who didn't live with a pet will have hard time to understand that, but it breaks the heart, truly. The feeling of emptiness is enormous.

During these 8 years we shared together, her and myself, we had great and bad times, but unforgettable times.

I really don't know what to add. It took me two months to write these words.

Here are the last pictures I took of her, one year ago.

She loved to sleep on and in my daughter's bed:

And to play with the waves, on the beach.

She was / is exceptional.

Goodbye, Tagada. I love you.

Nicolas

I feel very sorry for you dear Nico.

I had several dogs when i was a kid. I know the feeling 😑.

I still remember how I felt when I lost my dog in July 2011. A terrible experience. I think I am not ready to have a new pet. Thanks, Alberti.

Take time. When the right new friend (pet friend) apears, you will know 😉

Goodby Tagada, I hope you've gone without pain.

My condolences Nicolas. Animals often make us suffer more than humans when they leave us.

She passed away without pain. I was with her. Grazie, Simone.

And terribly sorry for your loss, Nico. I never had a pet, but I can imagine how much it must have hurt to lose a loved companion.

Stay strong my friend, and continue to enjoy the memories of the time that you spent together

Hussam

Merci beaucoup, Hussam.

Sorry for your loss. Lily has a guinea pig, 7.5 years old and this little animal is part of the family, so I can understand your feelings. Take care Nicolas.

Indeed, a real part of the family.

It never goes away…you just learn to live with it…irreplaceable.

Very true, my friend. Thanks for your kind words.

Sorry for you Nico, a ferret is definitely not a common pet, but probably very exciting to interact with !

I can just tell you that she was a great partner ( even in crime ), very tender and affectionate, always willing to play. An amazing and surprising friend.

I guess that

no words in any language will make your grief any better. But remember that you allowed her to have an outstanding good time with you and yours over many years which possibly any other ferret will ever have. Maybe life is live and let live and enjoy the limited time that has been given to us all. So you did very well.

That's sure that no other ferret had this life. Stealing Rolexes, having breakfast, celebrating Halloween, having coffee on the morning, having a ride in the P 1800 and the Alpine, enjoying baths in the sea... Thanks, mon ami.

Oh, that's very cool life for any pet, I'm sure dear. It's very gratifying to have shared your moments with the loved ones..

We have a dog and it's the most pampered child we've had. I can understand your feelings...
May Lord bless the departed soul and give you strength to bear the loss.

Thanks for your b-very kind words, Pun. Much appreciated.

Very sorry to learn of your loss. Animals can bring so much joy to everyday life. Hopefully, time will bring new peace about the loss and unite you with a new companion.

A new companion? That is not in the tube, for the moment. I still have to mourn over... But I do get your point, and you are probably right, but it is way too soon.

 By: amanico : September 1st, 2021-14:25

Yes. Totally understand. I meant sometime in the future.

 By: orahu : September 1st, 2021-15:04

We'll see. Between the ferret and my dog who passed away in July 2011, I am a bit " vaccinated " with pets, though...

I’m so sorry for you. He’s also a little part of this community as we could follow your little friend through the years…
