Two favorites - the first and the last purchase of the year
The first purchase is this uncommon piece - and rare in this condition cal. 751 gold cap seamaster chronometer - I love this case style and this is the nicest gold cap piece I have ever come across:
And the last purchase of the year is this very uncommon and certainly rare in this condition cal. 321 chronograph in a 37.5mm (excluding crown) 18k YG empire case with the nice lugs:

Sorry for the late post.
I also got another steel model as a restoration project. Nothing has been done so far. Right now I'm researching what is not original and need to replace. Surprisingly he info are quite hard to come by.
Any help is greatly appreciated

What I can see from the picture looks quite OK... hands seem to be original - crown commands a 10 sided replacement crown!
Dial is not correctly redone - the font is not correct - for original pieces google the posts of Desmond - he has written about the conny dials very much in depth!

My favorite purchase from 2010
Wow just some great watches !!
Well here is my favorite purchase... a first run 30 mm Omega. Omega in early 1939 introduced the 30 mm movement. Omega did a limited first production run of 600 units between Feb and April of 1939. The watch you see before you is from that first production run of 600 pieces...
The next production run was in 1940 with about another 35,000 units and the rest was history with over 3 million 30 mm family movements produced between 1939 and 1962...

This is the oldest 30 movement I know off - # 8'965'271 in the museum:
i forgot about this uncommon and unusual Tissot T12 i picked up last year
with regard to it being 'rarely seen' and its condition i think it must rank as one of my favourite pick ups of 2010, but i put it in a case with some others i dont wear very often so it slipped from my mind. i remembered it today due to the world timer post on HoMe.
