Omega

Omega, for whatever reason has been off my radar for well over a decade. I noticed the Ultra Deep a couple of months ago and thought that was the one to get back into Omega but after trying it on I thought it was a little too thick for my wrist. I then came across this James Bond edition. I know the model has been out since 2019 but I just discovered it about a week ago and fell in love. After trying it on at the boutique I felt the watch is pretty much perfect except for the bracelet which is very bulky at the clasp and doesn't fit my wrist properly. I can get over the bulky clasp but why in the world didn't Omega add a micro adjustment to the buckle? It seems like a huge miss to me. In any event maybe I'll still buy the watch and wear it on a vintage leather strap. Any owners of this beautiful piece here have thoughts on this quirky bracelet?

And this piece will look awesome on an ammo style calf strap.

This watch looks so good as it looks like a vintage watch but offers all the benefits of a modern watch. Haven't seen one in the flesh so no idea on the bracelet issue but I believe this watch was released either on the bracelet or on a Nato with the Nato version being much cheaper which sound like the perfect option for you.

But it is the cheaper way to buy this piece then add a leather strap.

Besides not being the biggest fan of the ‘titanium look,‘ the fit of the mesh bracelet annoyed me. These photos are from February 2020 down in Miami:


You can see the mesh bracelet doesn’t conform to my wrist. It leaves this annoying gap on the inboard side of my wrist.

I’ve also tried this on the shorter mesh bracelet. But then it leaves a gap on the outboard side of my wrist towards the top.

I loved the weight of the watch in titanium.

all the other elements of the watch are really perfect to my eyes.

The bracelet size will not fix the fit problem. My wrist size is the problem!
