Apollo 8 right?

It always confuses me the exact criteria for “PROFESSIONAL”...It also strikes me as odd that my Speedmaster OTM’s are not labeled pro when my PO CHRONO with the very same 9300 IS..perplexing.🤔

I think the "professional" designation has more to do with active service or having been certified by either Omega or another group to pass certain rigorous tests...

The ceramic Speedies probably would not pass these same tests as ceramic could and would shatter on impact with other hard materials hence why most "professional" classed watches from any manufacturer are made of SS, Ti, or any other metal and composites.

I could be wrong but I think this is the reason 🤷‍♂️

Didn’t know that the 8 was...

Technically a DSOTM...having said that the deep black ceramic IS labeled pro...yes 🤷🏼🤷🏼🤷🏼

If the Depp Black in ceramic is classified as a professional model even with the ceramic casez then I have NO clue 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤔

Hi all,
Whilst it may be my only Speedmaster it is the watch that is worn the most by me and the one that still grabs my attention every time I put it on my wrist.

Marc

Very understandable Marc. The Apollo 8 DSOTM is a special watch and the details are truly exceptional 😉👍

Still wearing . . .

. . . the unicorn.

To date, this is the only ref CO2494 I've seen with a cal 352 chronometer movement.  (Tony C has a CK2494 powered by a later cal 354.)

For illustration, I've seen three other Tiffany-signed ref 2364 chronometers other than mine.  And that's a certifiably rare example.

Art

Superb one, Art. No wonder why it still is on your wrist.
