Hope everyone is staying healthy!  This is my first Blog/Social media site ever that I am joining; been following this site for almost 2 years and finally decided maybe I should join!!

Huge Omega fan, have loved luxury watches for about 15 years and have really started to add to my collection the last 4 years...

Currently in my small humble collection I have:

PO 8500- 42mm- Favorite watch of all time that I have owned!!!

Speedy PRO- Hesalite

JLC Master Calendar- Silver Dial

AT 8900- White/Silver Dial/ Orange Accent

IWC Pilot Chrono Spitfire- 43mm

Past watches in collection:

Rolex DJ II- Gray Dial/Roman Numerals

Speedmaster 57'-- Patina Version

Speedy PRO- Sapphire

Breitling Super Ocean Chrono- Circa early 2000's (first luxury watch and what started my obsession!!!)

Next up hopefully:

GO PanoMatic Lunar- Not sure of color dial- when the time comes will be asking for advice on this site!!!

Grand Seiko Snowflake- Newer version only GS logo

Grail list ( currently unattainable!!!):

Vacheron Overseas- Stainless

ALS- Lange 1-- White Gold or Platinum-- (possibly never will have but one can dream!)

Big welcome to our community...

Firstly, thanks for joining in and posting. The list of watches looks varied and interesting especially the Omega list. Your wrist shot looks excellent, you could consider joining us for WristScan this weekend.
Keep well !

Your collection is really nice. I must say that i was really thinking about the PO recently, i maybe want to add the Bluegold version - the brown 39,7mm with the ceramic case and plastic strap is fantastic too. Can you please tell me what this watch makes so special for you?

Great that you have finally joined. I guess there are many people just reading the forum, probably more then on other forums - interesting!

Im looking forward to many more posts from you.

PO love!!

Reuven thanks for the welcome! The PO's double broad arrow hands are for some reason my favorite hands on any watch...the matte black dial that takes on several colors depending on the lighting, the rubber strap and steel bracelet are very comfortable! I also like the weight and size of it and subtle hint of orange accent. It is so simple but i cant stop looking at it when i wear it. It is also an everything watch that I have worn to a wedding, is my beach companion and also wear it a lot when i take bike rides, watch is a tank!!
Yeah i have been following the sire for almost 2 years because of the knowledge and collections that this group has... also makes me realize i am not the only crazy watch person out there as very few of my peers or family that share my sickness!!
I am also anti social media.. have never had any form of it and i am 37... that was my only hesitation to joining this group!

Thanks for your kind reply. I would say its different here for sure, for good or bad. Waiting for your next post. So long, stay save ;-) [nt]

Omega blood

Good to meet another Omega and watch collector.

I considered a PO, but the love for a 300 diver was stronger, so i bought a nice 300 diver.
I like the big blue, and the orange grey.

Maybe i buy a globemaster, we’ll see.

 By: dkaleal : March 26th, 2020-06:56
I love the Seamaster line in general! One day i hope to have 300M and a 300 diver as part of the collection... just dont know if i want to go new age or older as i have not started getting into used watches yet (only buy new)...
Also love the 300 Titanium with Blue dial

Me too

 By: Weems@8 : March 26th, 2020-09:57
me too, only buy new.

Why? my story.
I have not investigate vintage watches, and what i can aspect.
The patina, value, and more.
I think it can grow for me.
For most stuf, i buy very little secondhand.
My view is mostly of the time, a look into the future.
Nostalgia is the memories of beloved people.
Looking back is gone, i want always go forward.
Sometimes i use a line to historical facts, when i lost a Baume and Mercier, and bought a watch from the brand to reunite myself.
It was very special to connect again.
This you can compare to a car. You drove for example a Ford, had great memories, and for many years later you walk into a car dealership to buy a brand new Ford.

In terms of watches, i like the ones who are old, but produce today great quality watches. Omega is from 1848, so it get my attention.
I do this, because to have a direction of collecting.

Buying New!

 By: dkaleal : March 26th, 2020-10:03
For some reason I like to create the story behind the watch... i buy watches to wear them so i know i am going to beat them up!
I also like the comfort of in store buying from an AD! Have almost pulled the trigger on a couple used watches but always second guess for some reason....

Go panomatic power reserve

 By: artp1085 : March 26th, 2020-06:41
I have the above in blue ss . power reserve makes winding so much easier. Had watch over a year. Really love it

GO Blue looks amazing!

 By: dkaleal : March 26th, 2020-07:02
GO has really got my attention with their whole line of watches but the PanoMatic is just stunning in my opinion... i have a soft spot for moonphases and perpetual type watches (just out of my price range usually)... GO is a great value and something I can afford!
I currently do not have a blue dial so quite possibly my next addition will be blue!!!

Warm welcome Dkaleal

We all have something to offer, so don’t be shy.

That’s a solid collection and it seems you are also comfortable in moving things around (in and out).

The Speedy Crystal to Hesalite switch I guess is a well worn track.  What pushed you to make this change?

Also, I’m curious as to why you let the the Anniversary Speedy go?

Thanks for the welocme!

Try to keep this short as
Have always wanted a Speedmaster Moonwatch since I was about 20.. Now 37... I wore a Breitling SuperOcean Chrono for about 13 years straight and when it was time to get a new watch i settled on the Sapphire Sandwhich and was extremely happy with the look and feel of the watch. BUT because I was so use to wearing an automatic I had trouble remembering to wind the watch everyday I wore it... so after about 3 months i traded it in with my Breitling for a Rolex DJ II.... But since have traded that Rolex...
Fast Forward to this year and seeing so much Speedmaster love on this site I started to do my research and decided I wanted the Hesalite version, so went to my new Omega AD and purchased it!! Now I realize I wasn't winding the sapphire version enough and have grown to enjoy the time winding it every morning... when i bought it i did not put another watch on my wrist for 45 days, the hesalite dome and the dial are mesmerizing to me!!!!
As for the Speedmaster 57' it was the automatic version with the patina not the anniversary edition and at first I loved the patina but after awhile I wanted the black on white look of the current speedmasters so decided to trade that in....
Have learned alot from these transactions and now do weeks of research and wondering before I pull the trigger!!!
Sorry for the long speech.....
