Quick shots of the Soccertimer 145.019

Hi all!

A cool watch for many reasons.

It’s called the 145.019 and has a manual wind caliber 861.

From the early 70s, this has a roulette bezel and a 45min counter.

I also don’t like football but this helps being one step closer to being accepted at the pub wink

I love that one! Superb. Thanks for the pictures, mon ami. [nt]

Thank you Nico - I want to get the archive extracts with this to see if the roulette came with it originally...

Naaaah. I think you have to wait... I am curious to see what they will tell you! [nt]

I don't believe there's any question it's correct - even . .

. . . the orange hands are right.  Not much need for an extract, in my humble opinion.

The size and proportions of this and its related references are well-suited for smaller wrists, like mine.  I've come across a few locally, but never felt a compelling urge to own one.  Maybe it's the absence of a soccer culture here.

Now, if there was a snooker variant ;-) . . .

Thanks Art, though it’s my understanding that the roulette MIGHT be an aftermarket part on the Soccertimer? Heard that being said but not sure [nt]

There are similar references without the internal rotating bezel . . .

 By: Dr No : May 14th, 2019-11:36
. . . but those have distinctly separate - albeit similar - numbers.  Ref 145.016 has a minute and 1/5th second hash marks at the perimeter of the dial.  Ref 145.020 has an internal tachy bezel.

Your reference has an internal rotating bezel with either 5 minute or 'roulette' markings.  It should be ok.  You might have a service dial, but that's not really much of an issue.

Best,

Art

Service dials don't say "Seamaster" usually i believe

What makes you say that it might be a redial?

I didn't say it was a re-dial. It may be a service dial, produced by Omega . . .

. . . to replace a worn original.  But it looks original to my eyes.  There's nothing to be concerned about that I can tell.

Art

Awesome, thank you :) [nt]

Acceptance at the pub comes first!

Nice, colorful watch.

Hahaha indeed, not always easy when you don't know the difference between the Champion and the Premier league! I need all the backup I can get! [nt]

What is the function of the internal bezel?  Does it serve as a GMT, in conjunction with the hour hand?

I believe it servers the same purpose as a GMT bezel as you'd find on a Rolex GMT

This watch is definitively confused - it's got it all!

I LOVE that watch! [nt]
