In addition to the displays for the date, day, month and moon phase, it features a four-digit year display, small seconds and a power reserve display. Newly available is a Boutique Edition with maritime-inspired design cues, an 18-carat Armor Gold® case, a blue dial and a blue alligator leather strap by Santoni. Ref. IW503312 Boutique Edition: 18-carat Armor Gold® case, blue dial, gold-plated hands, 18-carat gold appliques, blue alligator leather strap by Santoni. For sure it is not the most discreet reference...

But at first sight this Portugieser is very appealing to me.

My first impressions:

I like the harmony of the dial and especially the colour combination of case and dial very much. Just from the pics. Of course I have to see it in the metal and try it on my wrist.

I especially appreciate the year indicator in dial colour. That’s IMO more harmonious than a white window would have been.

The whole concept is “classic Portugieser” (case size, appearance, dial architecture, PR etc). The special gold alloy is according to IWC much more resistant than standard gold. That’s an interesting point, like the modern movement with ceramic components.

These are my very personal first impressions.

I am looking forward to see it as soon as possible (as soon as we are allowed to).

Thanks for sharing!
