Pic of the day: The backside of the Constant Escapement
By: blomman Mr Blue : September 16th, 2014-02:49
Friends,
I don't know how many times I have looked at this photo.
The movement is not decorated with beautiful patterns or Geneva bars, but each time I look at this pic I loose myself....
Have a great Tuesday!

And I will come back to it, later.
If only I could fund it!
Best,
Nicolas

If we co-fund it....?

We could wear it half year each!
Yes, the price tag is a problem...
Otherwise I think many of us here would get it in a heartbeat!

it is a marvel of technology and innovation

if it only had a different dial design. While I understand the wish to show the CE mechanism at work, I do not like large watch cases with small time dials. Just my personal preference and taste.

I agree on the small dial....
By: blomman Mr Blue : September 16th, 2014-12:36
But in this case I would make an exception!
The Neo Tourbillon is another example where I would think it's OK with small dial...

Just a photo I have lying around......
I actually prefer the look of the Constant Escapement in rose gold.

For a 48 mm watch it is quite wearable....
By: WHL : September 18th, 2014-15:02
but alas, this was a one shot opportunity and not a daily pleasure for me:

Indeed! The short, curved lugs....
By: blomman Mr Blue : September 18th, 2014-15:08
Makes the watch wear smaller!
I had the same pleasure with the PG not long ago...
Unfortunately I had to give it back....

Yep. That was also this detail which made me change my mind on this watch. [nt]
