I've always like moonphases on a watch. But moonphase with a big date is especially appealling because I have a real hard time reading the dates on majority of watches. I've been eyeing this model for a long time, and when this one came up within my price range, I jumped on it. I as literally jumping for joy. The moon stands out really well only if the angle if right. Turn the watch a bit, and the moonphase almost disappears. But I can live with that. Been wearing this one a lot the last few months.

The next one was an impulse purchase. I didn't know anything about ref 2498 until I read Nilo's post about his GP 2498. I fell in love with the guilloche dial and started the quest for one. This was one short quest. My watch repair guy wanted to show me a special watch, so I stopped by a couple of wees ago. He just finished servicing a GP 2498 and wanted me to see the intricate lines on the dial. Needless to say, I was smitten and asked him to see if the owner would sell. Everything came together, and this kid is one happy camper.

Hope everyone enjoys viewing these pictures.

The Vintage 45 Moonphase and the Ref 2498 are both very nice watches.
Very elegant, very class, very cool, too. Very GP, in sum.
I have the feeling the GP forum will become, once again, a very hot place.
All the best,
Nicolas
