one shot of a holy grail for every GP collector, the Girard-Perregaux Observatory Chronometer HF.
This watch belongs to the GP museum collection and has been featured in many books and adverts.

One of the last ones, because most of the examples you see, and even the non observatory ones have sword shaped hands with pointed tips. The hands on my Chronometer HF, with the box and papers, which you've seen posted here, is one or two serial numbers away from an Observatory certified example certified in November 1967. Maybe the hands were replaced... Also interesting to notice that the bevelled edge is absent in the picture from what you'd normally see. Eagle eyed readers know I've studied and bought quite a few Ref 8795...
