Chopard L.U.C 1860, 16/1860/2

The self-winding movement 1.96 with micro-rotor has a great design and finish. The 36mm diameter is also exquisite. I think this first L.U.C 1860 as a dress watch was a completed watch. However, Calatrava 3796 is also great...

Prob the least appreciated value watch worth x3 its grain. Automatic/Guilloche dial/Micro-rotor/Geneva seal/18k/dauphine hands [nt]

It's true. I think WG 1860 is very rare.

You have a stunning collection, and so far this is my favorite.  That cursive Chopard script is delicious.  I wish it didn't say automatic and was date-less, but those are small point.  Please keep posting.

It is the foundation for complications.

Perhaps Chopard aimed for a complication movement with 1.96 as the base movement, like JL920 and AP2120.

Wonderful watch.

A Calatrava doesn’t come close to it.  Congratulations.

As you say.

Around 1996, when the 1860 was born, the finishing of Cal. 215 of Calatrava 3796 produced was very unfriendly. Patek is not always a great watch.

In my view this is a stunning watch. Love the dial and somehow the hands are perfect

Indeed an underrated undervalued time piece

I agree with your opinion.

It is the highest movement for a watch equipped with micro rotor. Luxury design, polite finish, classic speed control mechanism, and packaging.

For me, my favorite dress watch of all. Indeed because of the date, which keeps it semi-, you know? It's a very wearable timepiece, and yet—stunningly beautiful. Kudos! FH [nt]

Daily use

Chopard aimed at a luxurious dress watch that can be used everyday. So equipped with a date. You can also interpret their intentions that way.

i love this Luc...on the dial side - pretty close to the Simplicity or a traditional PP in my eyes

the only trouble i've is the 'date' window - i just feel it breaks the symmetry.

it is classy watch !

I don't like dress watches with date.

However, when the date runs out of this watch, it will probably look like an extended dial.
