Chopard

I had the opportunity to see it in Hong Kong, and must say that...

I liked what I saw, and I liked it a lot.

The date is nicely integrated, here.

The chromatic combination works for me, as well.

This is a very well made watch.

Huge congratulations, SF.

Enjoy.

Nicolas

Thks Nico! Yes, the arrow date hand going around the dial surface is a big big plus compared to a cut out display. Cheers! [nt]

The orange elements of the dial make the difference here. They really enhance it and give it a sporty side. Well thought.

Enjoy and wear it in good health.

Thks Alkiro! The orange accent gives a light sporty touch. And I think it is luminous....will check it out later tonite :). Cheers! [nt]

maybe I will try "charging" under the sun tom smile.

Orange the day, green the night... not so bad no? A true fickle watch this one. Great ;-)

Chopard makes one of the most wearable 42mm cases. The watch looks great on your wrist.

Thanks Luis! My first Chopard and a pretty satisfying one:). Cheers! [nt]

Congratulations on your latest addition smile I have had the opportunity to try it recently and had my horological journey not taken an unexpected twist, this would quite probably be my next watch smile As it is I will still look to get it, it will simply need to wait a bit longer.

Perfectly executed and just the right addition to the LUC line!

Thank you Kristjan and I read your review on this. Yes,the final product shows Chopard had thought about the entire design thoroughly before putting it together. Cheers! [nt]

Just a side note - From the internet pics, the black dial seemed sunburst but I don't think so after looking pretty hard at the real thing after I picked it up, lol.

Always nice to get first-person impressions

SF

Especially the first, first-person's impression!  smile
You captured the salient points of attraction for this model.
Thank you.

I like the steel version but the current Mrs MTF prefers the rose gold variant because of the harmonious dial that is most legible without harsh contrast.
Unfortunately, it is also more expensive than the steel version sad

I'm going to wave your post casually under her gaze to reinforce my argument......

Regards,
MTF

L.U.C Time Traveler One in steel case

Thks Dr. M! Agreed with yr Mrs the white dial is easier on the eyes.....

I prefer the dial color combo of the steel version with the hour markers which are applied on, gives the dial some texture IMO.

A well set dial, easy to read and Iike the date very much

A good size too. The lugs are curved which makes the watch look smaller. Congratulations.

Thanks Poky! Yes, the lug design makes the 42 mm vy wearable. And kudos to the date indication design:) [nt]

Congrats SF on capturing (both from an ownership and photography perspectives) this...

eye-catching reference !

IMO, The inclusion of a date function within a Worldtime is challenging because of potential information overload. Chopard has integrated the date smoothly in this watch.

Enjoy often and travel often with your new Worldtime.

Cheers,

Gordon

Thank you Gordon! The size of the watch kinda mitigated the info overload....

 By: S F : December 17th, 2016-04:33
all the info can be read off easily at a glance.
The date function within the concentric circles is seriously ingenious contributing to the uniform flowing dial.
However, the date hand could get hidden when the hour and minute hands overlap. Perhaps Chopard could consider to skeletonised the hour and min hands instead of the date hand smile.

Big congrats SF!

Dear SF,

Indeed a tempting piece that made onto your wrist.
Steel and orange accents are a nice color combo which I would want to see on my wrist.

I'll be happy to see your LUC travelling around the world and kindly ask for postcards here. wink

Enjoy and best regards
Kolosstt

Sure thing Kolosstt, and thank you :) [nt]
