That's actually not a "1735" as the 1735 refers to a specific model in the Blancpain line. That is what is known as a "complete calendar moonphase" model; again, a great watch. It tells the day/date/month and moonphase, as well as the time.
Sorry to read about the passing of your grandfather, as you write, the watch is priceless as a memento of memories. Wear and own it proudly.

What a great watch your grandfather gave you. And you are right, you should always keep such a piece in the family. My grandfather left me a broken pocketwatch, which belonged to his brother. It is very broken and in poor condition, but I love it and will always keep it. Be proud of your watch and try not to keep it in some safe or drawer but wear it in good health and in memory of your grandfather.
