This does not seem easy 😬

Any help please before I start the mounting of this x-71 bracelet on my beloved mil-spec. Or should I just leave it to the professionals.

I suggest you leave it to the professionals...

.. the firm pin holding both the sailcloth strap and the bracelet needs to be handled with utmost care. The best place to get it done is a pro who has experience with it.

For future use on the sailcloth I suggest you get yourself a pair of springbars, that makes at least this one a lot easier.

Thanks Henrik, I was already thinking it might be too tricky

Will leave it to the Blancpain professionals next time I'm in London.

Job well done 👍

Don't take any risk! Try to play with some Natos. This is the watch for that. [nt]

An accident could be too painful.

It's not a difficult task, but it's very easy to make a mistake for the untrained hands, I speak from experience.

..., even the professionals can have a bad moment.
Wishing you to best.
Beautiful watch.
Show us photos with the bracelet when you get it done.

Have you tried to mounting the band? Is the contour correct. Try sliding it on and see what needs to done. Brian [nt]
