Audemars Piguet

A fellow purist mentioned it sometime ago: the feeling is not that great when selling your watches, the good ones at least. But I guess there are some conditions under which the pain becomes more bearable.

I bought this watch together with its SS brother a few months ago on a crazy heart beat while spending some weeks in Dubai…I am not that much of a RG person, not in such an impacting look at least, but in that desert-city, under 50 degrees Celsius, all that gold made perfect sense to me!

Come on, we are talking about one of the craziest places in the world. I went to a dealer I know close to the biggest shopping mall of the world which contains the biggest aquarium of the world; next to it you have the biggest tower of the world with the fastest elevator (only place in the world where you can see twice the sunset in a same day). In this place when you go to the Patek boutique you will have troubles finding a piece without diamonds and mother of pearl!

Maybe it was the excessive heat, maybe that super combo RG-Blue Jeans dial, maybe the Jubilee Edition enticed me…I only know that at that very moment it was clear to me that this beauty could become one of my top-recurrent pieces!

Well, almost a year has passed…and I have not worn it twice, I just don’t see the occasion; I obviously appreciate the beauty of it (otherwise wouldn't have bought it), but it must not be made for me.

Truth is that a) I have too many watches, b) I want more watches, c) this is not an inexpensive piece, d) I already have the perfect SS version.

So, this is good bye…

Here, the sacrifice is all relative since you keep the  stainless steel one and that you are not a colored gold guy.

And that will allow you to fund a more much desirable Watch!

So, no need to be sad.
