Hi!
I am searching for an Alligator strap (hornback) for the new AP ROO models - 44mm case.
It seams, there are no crocostraps available from AP, but perhaps I can get handcrafted straps
from some strapmakers?
Any ideas are welcome

I would propose
ABP and Jacobstraps. In all honesty, I have never seen a better non AP hornback strap than the ones from Jacobstraps. It almost feels better than those from AP. They are also more cost friendly than ABP. He is a Spanish strapmaker and works by himself. Be prepared to wait for the strap, I think turnaround is 3 weeks or so.
Did you ask AP for a custom strap? They are able to do that. A buddy of mine got a custom strap made by AP.

Apbands vs original ap straps
Ap doesn't have an online store.
Apbands is a 3rd party strap maker that makes ap straps.
However , nothing beats the original ap made straps in terms of quality, comfort and ease of strap changing.i have bought Apbands straps before but had issues changing the straps because they don't have the metal lug molds to ensure a seamless change. U need to buy the necessary tools to change the strap yourself but ap service centre will not change 3rd party straps for you.
I would suggest ordering directly from ap service centre in your country or city. You can check online where the nearest ap service centre.

AP Strap
I agree that there is nothing like original but if they don't make or have what your looking for these guys are a good alternative. I've got a black horn back on my ROO 25770 and have had no issues with quality. The strap change itself however is beyond frustrating to do yourself. I stopped twice and had a coffee break to regroup myself. Good luck.
