Audemars Piguet

Let's leave out some of the single editions, like the RB1, Singapore F1, Jarno Trulli, and Sebastien Buemi.  The Juan Pablo Montoya, Rubens Barrichello, Grand Prix, and Michael Schumacher were all launched with a similar pattern of a base model, second model with rose gold case, and third model with platinum case.  So given these 4 distinct series of watches, which one is your favorite?  If you have ownership experience with one or more of these models, please share it here.

I loved a lot all the " racing " hints included  on this watch, and loved it also for its look.

I am glad you singled out the titanium version, as it was my favorite of that series too.

I really liked the GP and the dealer offered me the carbon version at the time that I bought my rgrc, unfortunately I could only have one of them. The GP in my opinion is so fugly that it is actually cool but my overriding worry when deciding between that and the rgrc was would it still look cool in ten years time? Only time will tell but I work too hard for my money to take that gamble.

I also love the titanium Michael Schumacher and have had my order confirmed today for this version. I think the MS is like a subdued GP in design and hopefully the grey scale will keep it looking like a classic for many years to come. It's funny though, reading reviews on the Internet re the MS, the overriding opinion seems to be very negative! Still, I can't wait for mine to arrive, the dealer reckons end of next year.

To be so mixed on a new AP LE.  It really leaned towards the negative side years ago when the Montoya was launched and crashed through so many barriers.  Now, many of the original naysayers love the watch.  I feel the majority of reaction to the MS has been positive.

Light weight.. fits perfect (not too big like the Schumacher) .. great overall design. Forged Carbon looks incredible in different lighting! Looking at the dial is as if I am looking at the dashboard of a Ferrari. 

on the left side, it is bigger than the MS.  But no arguing on the forged carbon case, certainly lightweight and comfortable to wear.  I also think it is the most "F1 themed" of all the examples.

But after trying them both on.. the Schumi feels and wears significantly bigger in my opinion. 

But... Love the Montoya more.

And I like the titanium version strap on it.  That adds even more flare to the piece.  ENJOY!

Yep, I thought the JPM Ti straps would tone this watch down a little (breaking down some 'focus' onto straps), whilst giving a more sportier/casual feel to it as well. Did play around with RB2's Ti and RG's (croco) straps on it too prior..

I swapped straps on my limited pieces too.  But then realized I got a warm fuzzy feeling when I left the strap originally fitted.  But once again, you wrist shot looks superb!  Regards, Steve

but as a series another vote for the RB2, something very Sci-Fi about it especially in Platinum which I love.

LOVE the RB2 Ti.  However, with all these new editions of OS, it really doesn't look that special anymore.    Moreover, given the sharp edges on the offshore, I totally adore the fored carbon OS like the Alinghi & GP but somehow I never quite dig the choice of colour on the GP FC, especially that golden ring on the edge of the dial.    

On a slightly different topic, it seems that AP somehow always manage to sign up drivers on their way down/out?   But I don't quite see that w/ the other sport ambassadors.   I wonder why?
