Years ago, I came so close to purchasing this La Boutique Paris ROC

I could not get full comfort about the seller from Italy.  We go to the point of meeting face to face in NY, and then the seller went quiet.

Hard to know how close I was, but sometimes the best deals don't happen.

Wow. Always be on guard.

I can understand the attraction though. That is a very cool reference.

Words for all of us to heed.

Mostly a very enjoyable passion, but we must always be careful.

Titanium, correct? You should have told me, I saw several for sale at that time!

Sandblasted titanium.

Yes, I should have reached you for this search! Perhaps another titanium Royal Oak will come along...

I also loved the NY version, in pvd.

Whoa, that pvd version is stunning. Lume shot? :)

The Lume was average, not Panerai super bright so never took a pic of it

One of the most beautifully finished ROC out there, just gorgeous BUT so fragile, the finishing, just one scratch anywhere and the watch is ruined,  I wore it 5 or 6 times but then I gave up on it. I need a watch that is tough and can take can take a beating, same reason I sold my Ressence Type 3, too fragile, as special as it was.

S

I heard that about the sandblasted finish.

Pity, it is so beautiful!

I'm in love with that watch Michael . . .

.    .    .  as you know!

That would be one that I'd even abstain from wearing just to keep it pristine.

M4

then its not a watch :-))

Perhaps one day you and or I would get one. A piece to wear, but perhaps a but more carefully.

It's happened to me too!

Falling for the Paris??

Or almost having someone get you on a bad deal?

The bad deal part. Definitely know that feeling. Safety first!

Love that size and dial configuration...

Sometimes I think the new chronos have oversized logos, letters, and numbers. Something about the proportions of the older RO Chronos are elegant and well balanced!
