...comic books have become increasingly political in the past few years. I, for one, don't give a damn what superhero wears an AP. Maybe that's just me. How about concentrating on making great watches? Novel idea, I know...
I honestly neither see nor understand the connection. From a franchise standpoint, imo, the story arc has run its course and the brand is likely on a downward trajectory. The demographics are different.

Marvel is hardly a brand one associates with luxury or watches. What am I missing?
So I take it you do not like the T3 watches either? Is it Arnold, is it the concept of collaboration with films or is it that you just don’t care for those particular watches? Just curious. Thanks.
In general I'm not a fan of film collaborations...

but I admit that, the more appealing I find the film the more forgiving I am of the collaboration! Note about my peculiarities here: I LOVE the use of recognizable watches as props in films. Bruce Wayne wearing a Reverso, for example, is for me a great, thematically-appropriate piece of costuming. It's the marketing tie-in that bothers me. I want fine watchmakers to be 'above' feeling they need to rely on that kind of gimmickry.
Let me be honest here: I always admired AP as one of the very top watchmakers, but here they are taking a *huge* political risk. Even more unfortunately, they seem well aware of that... For a brand with such a large market in the US, this is sad! ;-)
Few things, if any, are more important than increasing early childhood and youth educational opportunities, I am an even prouder owner of Audemars Piguet watches today.
