This year is not the first year for enamel guilloché watches from Jaeger Lecoultre.

We had this superb pocket watch, with its enamel red guilloché. ( Credit picture: Jaeger Lecoultre )

And in 2014 / 2016, the Master Grande Tradition Perpetual Calendar 8 Days Skeleton, in blue, first, then in green.

Without forgetting the Reverso Tribute to Holder and Mucha:

Tribute To Holder:

To Georges Seurat:

To Hokusai:

And the Tribute to Mucha:

What do you think of enamel guilloché?

Best,

Nicolas

Some truly superb dials (and casebacks), thanks for sharing! :-) [nt]

The only shame, in my mind...

is that these pieces don't command the same attention and resale value as a 5131 or 5231. They are often much more artistic and more difficult to execute. (Brand management, brand management, brand management!)

Oh, and you forgot the Master Tourbillons from a decade ago with the continents.

Yes, from 2009, the Master Tourbillon Continents Series!

You are spot on about the different attention, unjustified!

The European and African continent dial is just W O W !! [nt]

The thing is that on those, I would have much preferred a tourbillon on the back side. It is a pity to make a hole in such beautiful dials. [nt]

as usual by JLC. To me, it is not important that it is less known and less in perceived value compared to other brands, as long as I like it. And I do like these pieces by JLC. BTW, may I ask who is the current master enameler at the manufacture? /W72

Good question. I will ask and keep you posted. But I think they are several. [nt]

That pocket watch!!!!

It’s to die for my god what an absolutely stunning piece that is.

The red guilloche incredible

And that’s just the outside Nicolas is showing us. What about the dial the movement? Are they equally stunning?

And do those pieces require a second mortgage or are they somewhat affordable ?

The problem is to find it rather than funding it. I will see if I can find other pictures.. [nt]
