One of the more legible RM, is that a 24hr counter at 6? I was lucky to try the rm67-02 and it was quite a revelation, outside my price range but the staff at the boutique were amazing.

flyback chronograph, annual calendar with oversize date, 60-minute countdown timer and 24-hour totaliser, the RM 11-02 is also equipped with a UTC feature that indicates a second time zone via a Super-LumiNova-filled hand.

Prices have exploded. Were around 70k some years ago. Here my RM 028, bought 2014.

I agree with you, prices are ridiculous.. also the arrogance of the staff in the stores is something i cannot tollerate anymore! They treat you like some sort of reseller or something weird.. really annoying, if they weren’t this way and gave me a watch without such a fuss, i would get lots more because i really love the feeling while wearing a RM!

Honestly, prices aside, what I don’t understand is why the boutiques push and “require” a potential new client to buy pieces they don’t want in order to be just considered for pieces they really do want.  I don’t know if every boutique is this way, and certainly this isn’t unique to RM for sure.  But considering the clientele you’d think for what you pay that you should get what you choose…even if there is waiting time, etc.  They are impressive watches, nonetheless.

RM will be my next stop. I have two pieces on order (though no idea when they will arrive at the boutique). My PP journey has been enjoyable but I think it’s time to move on. Best, V.

It does seem like for strong PP, etc. collectors that RM represents the next frontier. For sure it promises to be fun.

Placed my order beginning of October so it might take some time until the first one arrives. I understand that patience is required. 😉

I hope you'll continue to consider Patek, also given that you "moved" to it relatively recently and have been working with more than one AD, but I will respect any decision you make

It’s a combination of things that have been annoying me in 2022. Quality issues (scratched new watches, cloisonné work that should not have passed quality control), huge price increases (more than 30% 5990/1A vs. previous /1A, 5811/1G vs. 5711/1R, more than 10% 5231G vs. 5231J, all in addition to lots of “regular” price increases), stupid behavior at PP/AD etc. All in all, the package just doesn’t feel right and attractive anymore. RM is the only (other) brand I’m currently interested in. I’m quite impressed by their people and products. My only problem is that I’m not a fan of thick watches, but 67-01, 67-02 and 72-01 are doable. Best, V.

Seriously, I can feel your disappointment regarding Patek, and I'm sure you gave it a serious thought before moving on. As far as price increases are concerned, it's no secret that a big driver was the secondary market, since the allocation of several Pateks had almost become synonymous with receiving (along with the watch!) a check in the tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars... ;-) Also note the recent choice of G over A for the flagship Nautilus, which overtly goes in the same direction. I obviously can't predict whether these bold and *very* noticeable measures will work as intended in the long term, but for sure they had the (anticipated) result of annoying quite a few collectors in the process!

My AD and I always unsealed the watches together. So there’s absolutely no doubt who’s to blame. And this happened more than once. Very disappointing. Anyway, thanks for your reply. 👍

But then this opens up a dangerous door of admiration for other more daring RMs 😳
