I never wanted an oil-filled Ressence, even though that's what the company is known for, so when I saw this "simple" Type 8 version, I bought it on the spot. It's super light, all in titanium (even the dial) and it wears great due to the lack of lugs. It always puts a smile on my face.
This is the recent Chopard LUC in Lucent Steel? Beautiful watch; love those dials - and those movements, of course (and, though it pains me to admit it, works better without a date window).
Love it - I have the original 16/1860 in yellow gold (will post sometime) and love everything about it…. literally might be my favourite watch. But could live without the date - thinking of maybe trading for your version at some point.
I have the full collector’s set - box, invoice, COSC, Poinçon de Genève certificate, papers, tag, spare solid caseback (which is the sort of detail that - at £800+ in melt value today - Chopard was comfortable including when gold prices were lower), box….. And that Metalem pre-Dufour dial is a dream!
Just writing another post now but will try and get to that one soon!
