Misplaced my bag with all my straps and some low value watches (like G-shocks) when I moved, I think.

I lost about 20 of mine that way
Of course, I had put them in a box so they would be together and not get injured or dropped.
Then I foolishly put the box under all my tax papers in the safe and only discovered / remembered when tax time came around.

An FP Journe CS missing for some months following a move turned up months later, zipped inside a cushion on the sofa! Relief isn't a big enough word.
