Really love this one! Not sure I understood the main different between this version and the type 20 they also offer. Seem to be the same case and movement no?
Any insight how they perform from a rate perspective?
Main difference between the Type 20 and the Type 21 re-edition:
- Type 21 has a glossy black dial; the dials of the Type 20 models are so far matte (brown, green, black ...)
- Type 21 has a lume triangle in the bezel; the Type 20 have (now) a black colored triangle at "12" in the bezel
- Type 21 has the "crown logo" (authentic to the historic Airain Type 21 models), whereas the Type 20 have the "normal" Airain logo
But for the rest: same case, same fly-back, column-wheel movement, sapphire (now, the first editions were with hesalite).
I'll check accuracy for you, but "difficult" for me as I change watches almost daily. But I have not observed any anomaly of significance so far.

Only machined steel on the 20 with no fill (same for my triangle at 12, no paint fill, just metal). I prefer the all metal bezel without paint, but it certainly is harder to read quickly. I do like the brand name and logo on the 21, and less dial text overall.
Correct (no fill on bezel Type 20) for …
… the first few series. The new „standard“ Type 20 is now with color fill on the bezel.
