That said, I was also surprised by the cost. Very surprised. For this cost from Doxa, I can just about purchase the all ceramic Apollo 8 from Omega, so that would be an easy choice for me.
I also don't understand the choice of carbon for a dive watch. Weight is no issue wearing a watch under water. And carbon dents on things like a boat ladder. I once smacked a PAM87 steel 1000m on a boat ladder in rough water and had that been this Doxa, it might have split in 2.
Still, they will find 300 buyers. It is certainly an attractive sport watch.
