Thanks for putting them
I think dreamer8 and FX answered really well, there is a work on this controversial subject done by Mr Haldimann.
If it is Hype? yes for sure but as a consequence . Was it what was researched at first? I don't think so following the work of Mr Haldimann there is a logic in all that imho.

this "watch" or "thing" brings a lot.
But no one would like it to be empty, you still look for something when you buy a high end watch like Haldimann. You look for craftmanship, mechanical feelings , "luxury" , and it has it all with a nice central tourbillon inside, like other beautiful watches. It just doesn't tell time or show mechanics, that what makes it so interesting.
oh they did already.....
but if they really did...there would be a small brick inside
.....those Italians....
MO
Macchiavelli.
This watch is brilliant from all the reaction it brings, from the owner point of view when you wear it and from outside.
Few watches are really different, this one (if we can call that a watch), is definitely ^^
Neing a talking piece is not the main goal of it, just a consequence or a secondary one.
Again as dreamer8 and Foversta said, there is a list of work of Mr Haldimann beofre this one which gives even more sense. It brings a lot of impressions for the guy who wears it, intellectual pleasure and fun, other sensations that just looking at time or mechanics; wind up, weight, sound (and when you look at it you see yourself, I find that detail really brillant).
For sure it is a controversial piece (maybe the most controversial of all), but the more a majority hates it, the more it get stronger for those who loves it imho.
After wearing it and looking at reactions, I love it more and more
cheers

We know or should khow how fool we are to love those useless things. As you say it exposes it, it gives a lot of fun and at the same time it is a really beautiful and discrete "watch", it is assuming what we are.
You look at it, you smile, you can make as much philosophy as you want after some drinks, you can talk about it with people for hours more than any other
, isn't that what you actually want from a watch?
These are reasons why I love it.
cheers
Francois
It doesn't do nothing, it ticks, you can hear it, wind it, and look at it, it just doesn't give time. And you have a secret movement which is actually beautiful.
Making a far fetched comparison, buying a vintage Longines 13Zn, you have a chronograph like many others at that time but the noble heart of it is fantastic, which you cannot notice looking at the watch behind a steel caseback. Do you buy buy a Longines 13 ZN for the function? I don't think so
. The Haldimann does the same adding controversy like no other.
Just my 2 cents
Francois

Is the H10 going to be a black dialed watch with no movement? LOL
I don't know what to say about this H9 ... I feel sorry for whoever is going to purchase one of these H9. Even if I had all the money in the world, I wouldn't blow my money on this H9.
What is Haldimann thinking? Sorry to say but he must be smoking crack... April Fool's came early this year.
My 2 cents,
Anthony
